Ways to add value…

Let’s talk about cost-sharing. This is a simple solution to decrease your cost and make photos available to more parties.

Cost Sharing is a pricing structure that could alleviate confusion. What this means is reduced costs for all interested parties and flexibility for each party to have access to the photos. Below I will detail an example photoshoot and continue to add parties to illustrate how this would work.

Example 1: One client billed for a photoshoot- $1300.00
Example 2: Two clients billed for a photoshoot- Original cost of $1300.00 + 25%* (25% of $1300.00 equals $325) =$1625.00 divided by 2 (number of clients) comes to a total of $812.50 per client
Example 3: Three clients billed for a photoshoot- Original cost of $1300.00 +25% multiplied twice = $1950.00 divided by 3 would be a total of $650 per client
The formula: Original cost of photoshoot plus 25% of the original cost equals the total divided by the number of clients equals the total cost for each client/party interested in photos.

*25% used as the standard percentage for all clients

The Ground Rules for Cost Sharing:
1. No more than two clients on site.
2. It's all or nothing (all clients must sign a contract).
3. One party would be designated for retouching feedback.

Additional notes on who gets invoiced. (Possible invoicing scenarios)
1. There is one invoice and the client will then bill the other parties or contractors.
2. Splitting up the entire invoice to each party.
